About the Foundation
WHAT IS THE HOPE 4 KIDS FOUNDATION?
Hope 4 Kids Foundation is a nonprofit private organization dedicated to assisting families in obtaining high quality childcare. It is a ministry of New Beginnings Ministries, Inc. a Christian Church Organization. We fulfill this mission by:
- Offering yearly grants to families subsidizing their childcare expense at any approved childcare center in the state of Alabama.
- Partnering with select childcare centers in starting and building high quality childcare centers around the state of Alabama.
WHERE DOES HOPE 4 KIDS GET ITS FUNDING?
Individuals like you donate $1.00 per month in support of our efforts. While a dollar may not seem like much when thousands upon thousands of people come together with that $1.00 per month great things happen. How do I Become a Dollar Partner?
HOW MUCH ARE THE GRANT AWARDS?
Grants awards depend on several factors (see Grant Application Packet) including if your child is full or part time in a childcare facility. However, typically grants range from $1,000.00 - $4,000.00 per child per year. Grants are paid directly to the childcare center the student is enrolled.
WHAT DOES A FAMILY HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR A GRANT?
Download the Grant Application Packet from hope4kidsfoundation.org and return it with all requested documents by the deadline date. You will be notified the next necessary steps needed to be taken. If you already receive government assistance for childcare you are disqualified from receiving assistance from Hope 4 Kids.
CAN A CHILD ATTEND ANY CENTER IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA?
No. A child must attend either an approved center on our list or a center that meets the standards set by Hope 4 Kids. The foundation of our organization is to facilitate the opportunity for kids to attend HIGH QUALITY Centers.
DOES A PERSON HAVE TO BE A DOLLAR PARTNER TO RECEIVE A GRANT?
Yes. Far too often people want to receive but don’t want to give. Like Habitat of Humanity mandates those receiving homes to give so many hours of service we require you to be a Dollar Partner.
WHO GOVERNS THE FOUNDATION?
There is a Board of Directors comprised of 5 persons who make policy and oversee the foundation. The day to day operations are handled by a vast staff with offices across the state of Alabama.
